In short

Elizabeth and Gawler are both inside SA Best Towing’s area, on Adelaide’s outer northern edge. The tilt tray comes up Main North Road and the Northern Expressway from its yard in Angle Park, for cars, 4WDs, vans and machinery, with country jobs past Gawler too. Give the exact street or the last interchange you passed.

Main North Road to Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a Main North Road job, about 21 km from the yard. The truck runs north on it for most of the trip and into the streets around the Elizabeth City Centre on Elizabeth Way.

To the south-west, Edinburgh Parks and Lionsgate Business Park, on the old Holden site, are full of businesses that run vans and utes.

The expressway to Gawler

Gawler is a different trip. The Northern Connector and the Northern Expressway take the truck out to the Sturt Highway on the edge of town. The expressway’s interchanges are signed by road name: Penfield Road, Heaslip Road, Curtis Road and Angle Vale Road. If you break down out there, the last one you passed tells us where to look.

Murray Street, Gawler Central station at the end of the line and the racecourse at Evanston all sit within reach, along with the farm roads toward the Barossa.

One truck and a long run

Gawler is a long run from Angle Park, and one truck covers the whole city, so it can’t be at both ends of Adelaide at once. Ring and we’ll tell you where the truck is and what it’s doing, then you can decide whether to book.

Out past Elizabeth we expect more 4WDs, utes and machinery, and the rear lift lets the truck bring a second vehicle back on the same trip. Beyond Gawler the work turns into country runs, and we take those on as well.

Jobs we can take around Elizabeth and Gawler

  • 4WDs and utes from the estates and farm roads between Angle Vale and Gawler
  • Cars stopped on the shoulder of the Northern Expressway
  • Work vans and utes from Edinburgh Parks and Lionsgate Business Park
  • Unregistered cars collected from Davoren Park and Elizabeth backyards for removal

Questions about towing in Elizabeth and Gawler

Local answers. Ring if yours isn’t here.

Do you tow from Gawler, or is it too far from Angle Park?

We tow from Gawler, up the Northern Expressway, and from country properties past it. The run is longer than a job in the inner suburbs, and the price allows for that. Because one truck covers the whole city, ask where it is when you ring, and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book anything.

I’ve broken down on the Northern Expressway. What do you need from me?

Give us the direction you were heading, the last interchange you passed and anything you can see nearby. The interchanges carry road names such as Curtis Road or Angle Vale Road. Stay behind the barrier if there is one, call 000 if the car is in a live lane, then ring us on 0457 300 057.

Do you go past Gawler into the Barossa?

We do. Country jobs are part of our work, so a pick-up out along the Sturt Highway is fine to book. Ring with the town and the address, and we’ll look at what the truck already has booked that day and tell you on the phone when it can get there.
