Height bars and car park levels
Several CBD car parks publish height clearances of around 2 metres, well under the height of a tilt tray truck. If your car won’t start on level 3, the truck can’t drive up to it.
Tell us the car park, the level and whether the car rolls and steers. Some cars can roll down the ramps to street level, where the tray can take them, so ask the car park staff what they allow. Others need a plan before anyone moves them, and we’ll talk it through with you on the phone.
Terraces, tram lines and peak hour
Out on the street, the terraces give the truck room. If your car stops on West Terrace, North Terrace or South Terrace, we can load it from the kerb lane with the beacons on.
King William Street and North Terrace carry the tram, so tell us if your car has stopped near the tracks. The driver needs to set the truck up clear of them. If you stop in a peak-hour clearway, put your hazards on, wait on the footpath and ring us.
One truck, twelve kilometres out
The yard is about 12 km from Rundle Mall, down the North-South Motorway and in through West Terrace. One truck covers the whole city, so it may be out on another job when you ring. Ask on the phone when it can get to you.
